Neurodiversity-affirming Child Care

Finding someone to care for your child who is truly neurodiversity-affirming (and also a great fit for the family) can be incredibly challenging. Our goal is to create a free directory that allows neurodiversity-affirming childcare providers to share their information with prospective families.

This directory currently includes providers from Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill, NC and NYC, NY.

Preferred child care providers listed on this directory have completed the following tasks:

  • Read and watched 6 trainings related to neurodiversity and neurodivergent-affirming care

  • Received 80% or more on a short quiz

  • Agreed to our nondiscrimination policy

We also include providers who have not completed the trainings, but self-identify as neurodiversity-affirming.

There has been no additional vetting by All Neurotypes.

Inclusion on this list is not an endorsement or recommendation from All Neurotypes. Nor is it a guarantee that any prospective caregiver will use neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
